Carlos Fernández Araoz
Carlos is a board member and CEO of GAM, a leading European machinery rental company. He is also a former partner at consulting firm Monitor, which he joined in 1990 and from where he advised a number of corporations and governments.
GAM is listed on the Madrid stock exchange and rents machinery to a larger array of industries - including construction, railway and windmill operators. A well-known strategy specialist in Spain, Carlos worked at Monitor between 1990 and 2007. His focus was enabling organizations to mobilize their strategic decisions into actions and results. Previously, he worked for the MAC Group and as an engineer, with an IC design and manufacturing Thomson subsidiary. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and an MBA from Madrid’s Instituto de Empresa.
