Sina Partners With Berggi For Mobile Initiative
Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with US-based global downloadable mobile portal Berggi (www.berggi.com), according to a Berggi press release issued on December 3. Under the partnership, the companies will jointly develop and market consumer mobile portal services in China as part of the SINAGo mobile initiative. The partnership aims to develop and deploy ad-supported mobile services beginning with mobile email scheduled for release in December. Berggi has recorded nearly two million registered mobile service users worldwide since April, and currently adds more than 15,000 new users a day.
